Welcome to the SUNRISE JURISDICTION!  5th EAST has five simple staples which mark us:

We together seek to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ and to love and care for each other and those whom the Lord our God places in our path.  We appreciate our joint value and potential; we truly believe that we are BETTER….TOGETHER!

We further believe that there is a great and effectual door open to us, and there are many adversaries.   (I Corinthians 16:9)

MISSION STATEMENT:
The 5th Illinois Jurisdiction-EAST, an arm of the National Church – CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, INC – Headquarters in Memphis, TN, is an organized body of local churches and assemblies who carry out the mission, programs, and mandates of the National Church, impacting the world with the gospel and love of Jesus Christ.

VISION:
Build a strong, vibrant, relevant Jurisdiction through the development of growing, impactful local churches, using THE JOSEPH STRATEGY.
